Message from PLAN International
I am working on a wonderful project with Plan International called
ShootNations. Part of my role for this project is to promoteShoot Nations to areas across the world that are harder to reach in order for more children to be involved in this project. I was hoping therefore that you may see the merits of this project and pass the information on to organisations and individuals that you may be connected to who may be interested in becoming involved in the project. I have selected your organisation to contact on the basis that I thought that you would be able to reach this demographic. Naturally this information is with Plan International’s country offices but we are really looking to make this project as globally inclusive as possible. And there are option for those individuals with limited access to resources too.
Shoot Nations is an annual event. Together with Shoot Experience,
sponsored by MTV, The Independent, National Geographic, Olympus, The Future Mapping Company we are looking to engage as many youth across the globe in this competition as possible.
The Shoot Nations 2010 exhibition will be opened at the UN in New York on International Youth Day where the winning photo will go on
permanent display in a light box along with winners of previous years.
We will also exhibit and run workshops across three continents in
2010/11. After the UN, the second confirmed venue is the Mayors
Office/GLA in London.
For those with limited access to cameras, computers and with poor
bandwidth etc, there is the option to produce drawing to enter ‘The
Best Overall Drawing Worldwide’.
The theme for this years competition is urbanisation or ‘city living’.
You can help Plan by….
- passing this email on to your networks in developing countries
- informing your colleagues
- posting it to your blog
- posting it to your website
- posting it to Facebook
- feeding it to Twitter
- forwarding it to 11-25 year olds
